At Compound, Santa Fe, New Mexico Vacation Rental

This regionally-styled private compound located in Santa Fe's historic Eastside, is host to three residences - a 2 bedroom main house, a studio casita and a 1-bedroom casita.

This distinctive enclave features "La Gordita", the primary domicile, built throughout with traditional mud/straw walls and brick floors with the exception of the kitchen which has painted tile floors overhung with a uniquely crafted hammered tin ceiling. Other regional details are artfully expressed in carved ceiling beams and corbels looming dramatically over the central living area. Hand-carved detailing distinguishes the front portal to which all the main living quarters either have direct access or are seen through large Territorial-style windows. The master suite has double walk-in closets and a luxurious bath with double vanities, soaking tub and glass enclosed shower.

The studio casita embodies the spirt of La Gordita with woods floors, banco, lighter-toned mud walls, kiva fireplace, skylights and a ¾ bath with a Mexican tin sink. Casa La Feliz, the third guest unit, has a slightly more modern aesthetic with a contemporary-styled kitchen designed with stainless steel countertops, a Bosch stove, and light wood cabinetry.

The living room is generously proportioned with a large kiva fireplace, built-in nichos, bancos, vigas and wood floors that flow into the master suite that is similarly embellished with southwestern motifs.

All three residences open to a picturesque central courtyard.
