Villa Gallietta in Lake Como is only steps away from the center of Como. On the water yet only a 5-8 minute lakeside stroll from Como's central piazza, Villa Gallietta is one of Lake Como's most unique and historic Luxury Villas. A 3 year renovation, finished in 2009, has restored the full artful splendor of 1772 while adding modern conveniences such as air conditioning, elevator, full gym, yoga studio, hi-speed internet, and more.

One of the famous "Seven Sisters of Como", La Gallietta is filled with frescoes and is the subject of a novel written in 1856 by French author Nathalie Comtesse. The estate can comfortable accommodate 16 guests with 8 bedrooms in the main villa and 7 main bathrooms with 6 ensuite and two sharing one lovely remodeled bath. As well on the main floor there is an additional half bathroom for guests.

The house has As well additional accommodations in 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for 7 guests in the luxury Rustico Apartment. The Rustico Apartment is on the same property, but with a private entrance and courtyard from a different street than the villa. The apartment completed it’s renovation with a rustic style including exposed roof timbers, stone work and antique floors. The unit is fully air conditioned and includes a full kitchen, living room, Wi-Fi internet, washing machine, and 70 meters from the lake’s edge.

Villa Gallietta features a 15x5 yard swimming pool overlooking the lake. The lakeside garden is approximately 70 yards long by 20 yard wide. The back gate opens onto the famous “Passeggiata Villa Olmo” on the water. Only 5 steps descend from the backyard into the boathouse and the lake. The entire garden is surrounded by stone walls and hedges, 10 feet in height for optimal privacy. Few villas match Galliettas' opulence and perhaps none can offer the proximity to the center of Como. Whether basking in the luxury of this 19,000 sq. ft. mansion, strolling to the medieval center of Como, or boating from the backyard on one of Europe's most beautiful lakes- your best ideals of vacation life in Italy are realized here.
