Blame Her Ranch, Ribera, Santa Fe, New Mexico Vacation Rental
The 1,650-acre Blame Her Ranch (BHR) sits at the southern most tip of Glorieta Mesa only 45 minutes from Santa Fe, New Mexico. The ranch’s entire western edge is adjacent to the 1.6 million acre Santa Fe National Forest, which provides extreme privacy. There are mature ponderosa pines and pinions throughout the ranch with pasture lands and several seasonal ponds.
All BHR bedrooms are totally unique and special in their own right. The main house consists of three connecting sections ~ Main Lodge, Indian Wing and Cowboy Wing. Just 300 feet away is the Barn/Guest House. There you’ll find the Shed Suite downstairs and the Master Bedroom upstairs (not rentable). All bedrooms come with feather bedding and designer sheets. And, yes each bedroom has it own full bath.
In the Main Lodge you will find two bedrooms and two and half baths. The Master and Sticks suites offer full in-room baths with double sinks, shower, Polo Ralph Lauren furniture and bedding. Each room has its own flat screen TV as well as ceiling fan and walk-in closets. The Master offers a custom king size bed with flat screen in the foot board and many unique Indian artifacts ~ including 45 authentic Indian arrows shot right into the wall. And because it’s the Master Suite, it comes with a remote controlled fireplace and blackout shades. The Sticks (named after its furniture designer) has a hand carved canopy queen bed, big picture window and a handmade chess set for those late night games. A 1/2 bath, which is decorated with real vintage license plates from all 50 states and old-fashion chain pull toilet, sits right outside the home office which also has a pullout sofa thereby offering up to 24 people a good nights sleep.
On the West side of the Main Lodge you will find our Indian Wing. A true Log cabin with knotty pine walls and trim. Here you will find the Cochise Suite and Comanche Bunk room. The Cochise Suite has its own in-room full bath and king size Adirondack log bed beautifully decorated with Judi Boisson custom quilts and feather bedding. This suite also has its own Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator/mini bar and a 50-inch flat screen. Next door is the Comanche Bunk room. Here you will find two large twin log bunks with Native American artwork, bedding and for the fun of it we built a sleeping loft with two additional twin beds. A great room for the kids, teenagers or the family that wants to stay together. The Comanche Bunk room has in room access to its own full bath with two sinks, toilet and shower. All rooms and suites in the Indian Wing have double screen doors that make you feel like your right outside.
On the East side of the Main Lodge you will find the Cowboy Wing. A real log cabin trimmed with knotty pine just like the real cowboys did it hundreds of years ago. There are two beautiful suites named after John Wayne (the Duke) and Chris LeDoux ~ our builders favorite Country and Western Singer. Both suites have queen feather beds, rustic log furniture, their own Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator/mini bar, 50-inch flat screen TVs and in-room full baths. Custom quilt bedding from Judi Boisson gives both rooms a warm and western feel. You’ll also find our special cowboy boot and hula girl table lamps, a different twist on these truly unique rooms. In between these two suites is the Wild Bunch Bunk room. Here again, with real log bunks, Pendleton bedding (which was originally designed in the 1930’s to celebrate our National Parks) and whiskey barrel sinks in the bath. In fact, all the rooms in the Cowboy Wing come with full baths. And just like in the Indian Wing, the suites and bunks all have double screen doors.
About three hundred feet from the Main House is the Barn/Guest House. In the Shed Suite downstairs you’ll find a room totally trimmed with real rusted corrugated metal with a four post queen feather bed and embroidered sheets.
This luxury ranch may be the only ranch of its size, with this many features, within 45 minutes of historical Santa Fe, New Mexico. This area experiences a mild and dry climate with very little humidity. Winter months are shorter than other parts of the country and a longer spring and summers season allows for full enjoyment of the ranch’s many outdoor activities. The 24-hour average temperature in the city ranges from 30 °F in December to 70 °F in July. While BHR offers extreme privacy, it is still very close to Santa Fe’s unique plaza shopping, over 250 art galleries, world class dining, gambling, golf, skiing and even the critically acclaimed ballet and opera.
For events BHR has 4 different venues...The Main Log Lodge, The Outdoor Gazebo, The Knotty-Pine Barn and The 18,000 sq ft Great Lawn.
