Big House

The largest villa on the island, features three tastefully designed air-conditioned suites with uninhibited views of the Caribbean through panoramic windows. The suites are distinct in every detail and feature king-sized beds or multiple doubles/twin beds that can be specially tailored in a variety of configurations to accommodate your needs. Each suite has a private exterior entrance with optional connecting doors.

Hibiscus House

Comfortably nestled among lush greenery and hibiscus bushes and cooled by air-conditioning, this perfectly blush villa features a beautifully appointed air-conditioned master suite with sweeping ocean views. The Hibiscus House is a single suite fully furnished with a king-sized bed and private bath. This villa features an outdoor bed for the ultimate sunbathing and stargazing.

Little House

The most secluded suite on the island. Little House is a romantic bungalow that sits on its own secluded private beach, completely separated by water from the rest of the island and connected by a bridge over a natural ocean channel. This air-conditioned suite has a king-sized bed and its own over-the-water sun deck that boasts incredible Caribbean sunsets, perfect for sipping champagne and celebrating the art of vacationing.

Bunk House

The new bunk house, located by Hibiscus House, offers six twin beds and a detached private bathroom with two showers. This is perfect for bringing the entire family along, or a few extra friends! Fully air-conditioned with an attached bathroom with two showers.

The Grand Palapa

You'll fall in love with our main dining room, social area and lounge space. From early morning coffee to late night karaoke, The Grand Palapa is the epicenter of Royal Belize. The Grand Palapa is an open air palapa in the middle of the island and serves as home base for you and yours.

What is Private Island Belize?

Private Island Belize is a whole-island resort originally developed as a private retreat. It is not a typical hotel, it is a private property offering a luxury vacation experience to discerning travelers who cherish privacy and attentive service.

Private Island Belize is for the exclusive enjoyment of a single guest party at a time, so there will only be you and the staff. No other guests. The staff resides in an area separated by water from the main part of the island. We will tailor our service to provide you with as much privacy as you like.

How many staff will there be?

There is a minimum of seven staff people at your service during your stay, including the chef, concierge, servers, housekeepers and the grounds-keeping crew. Our staffing level may increase with larger groups, depending on the circumstances.

How big is the island?

The island is approximately seven and a half acres, or three hectares, including the marina, staff, and equipment areas.

Are children welcome?

Absolutely! Children under 18 stay free with their parents at Private Island Belize. The bedding in our villas can be configured in a variety of ways to accommodate families of all sizes and kids of all ages. We can even create some special fun for more adventurous youngsters.

What is there to do?

The list of activities and unique adventures is quite long. Private Island Belize has the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the western hemisphere. The flats attract professional fly fishermen, while the reef is great for trolling for bigger fish. On the island, guests enjoy the wave runners, kayaks, standup paddle boards, small catamaran, and a variety of beach games. Of course, most people prefer to lay in the sun on a float or read in one of the many hammocks around the caye. Mainland adventures are equally numerous and attractive. Your personal travel concierge will help you plan each day in as much detail as you prefer.

How do we get to Private Island Belize?

The simplest and fastest way to get to Private Island Belize from the international airport in Belize City (BZE) is to take a 15 minute commuter flight to Dangriga where you will be met by Private Island Belize staff. From the airport in Dangriga, you will be taken to our boat for the 25 minute ride out to the island. You can also either drive a rental car or take a chauffeured van on a two hour scenic drive down the Hummingbird Highway through the Maya Mountains to Dangriga to be picked up by our team. The third option is via direct door-to-door helicopter flight between BZE and Private Island Belize. The trip takes approximately 40 minutes each way. There is a four passenger limit and baggage size and weight limitations apply.
