By the late 1800s, Moskito Island was abandoned and used only to graze livestock until Drake’s Anchorage resort was built by Mr. Bert Kilbride in the 1960s, which ultimately closed in 2001. In 2007, the island was bought by Richard Branson. Now the island comprises four private vacation villas which are among the small number of exclusive private estates on the island. Whether it’s a bespoke vacation or corporate retreat, the island is suitable for any special event. It consists of four private estates, each available for private or combined rental. These are more than just vacation homes—they are visionary works of art, designed by billionaires to push the boundaries of ultra-luxury hospitality and set a new global benchmark. The villas, also known as The Oasis, The Village and The Point, are each accommodating 18–24 guests, featuring poolside villas and cliffside cottages amidst three acres of lush private gardens. Since 2024 guests can enjoy the newest addition, Cape Stout, joining the exquisite collection. Their combined suites accommodate up to 76 guests and it offers a great place for corporate retreats or festive celebrations. Every stay is fully inclusive, covering exceptional dining by private chefs, fine wines, and premium spirits, ensuring an effortless and immersive experience.

The Oasis – this vacation property combines sleek and modern design with focus on warmth and wellness. Accommodates up to 26 guests in 13 suites and it offers 360-degree views of the incredible BVI area.

The Village- Overlooking the Moskito’s western’s shores this vacation estate offers spectacular setting for any special event. It accommodates up to 18 guests in nine private suites.

The Point-With direct access to Manchineel Beach, the Point is 8-bedroom vacation villa, offering incredible sunset views and accommodation for up to 16 guests.

Cape Stout- Newly built in 2024, Cape Stout is the latest addition to this exquisite collection of villas. The clifftop property offers 8 suites and accommodates up to 16 guests.

From December to May, lucky visitors may witness the awe-inspiring sight of humpback whales migrating approximately 12 miles (19 km) north of Virgin Gorda, embarking on their journey to the cooler northern waters in search of food.

You’ll be consulted and the menus planned in advance – including wine and cocktail preferences – so you can be confident all tastes and dietary requirements are covered. Our chefs pride themselves on sourcing incredible ingredients from all over the world, while also growing an array of produce in kitchen gardens on the island. Beyond the various dining locations on each estate, you can also enjoy lunch or a candlelit supper in the dining pavilion on the shore of Manchineel Beach.
