By the late 1800s, Moskito Island was abandoned and used only to graze livestock until Drake’s Anchorage resort was built by Mr. Bert Kilbride in the 1960s, which ultimately closed in 2001. In 2007, the island was bought by Richard Branson. Now the island comprises the Branson family estate and four private vacation villas which are among the small number of exclusive private estates on the island. Cape Stout Estate is the newest addition to this exclusive collection, designed as a private village, this extraordinary estate offers seven thoughtfully appointed suites, comfortably accommodating up to 14 adults, along with a secluded hideaway perfect for up to 10 children.

At the heart of Cape Stout lies Headquarters, the estate’s vibrant social hub. This expansive space boasts elegant dining areas, cozy lounges, a poolside bar, and an eclectic collection of vinyl records for music lovers to enjoy. Whether indulging in private waterfront adventures aboard the estate’s powerboat, shooting hoops on the half-basketball court, or unwinding with yoga on a private deck, guests can embrace an array of exclusive experiences. For everyone who is willing to enjoy the pristine beaches of the island, the villa provides direct access to Honeymoon beach where guests can dive into endless water activities, whether it will be boating, kayaking or snorkeling, we got it covered with the necessary equipment.

Cape Stout’s suites are carefully decorated and have been planned down to the last detail. All rooms are unique with full ensuites and wet bars that include a fridge, icemaker and Smeg coffee machine. The primary suite, also know as the Clifftop is a private oasis of its own, with a private garden, hot tub and pool view, featuring king size bed with ensuite bathroom, including outdoor shower and a bathtub. Originally designed for children (up to 10), but comfortable for all ages is the Beach barn. This is creatively designed loft space with winding stairs up to a sleeping area, featuring 3 queen size beds and 2 double beds, all separated and creating magical, cozy nooks for the small ones to enjoy their own private space. The barn is equipped with large smart TV and PlayStation 5 and is a favorite place for both children, young adults and their families.

Guests of the villa will indulge in an exquisite dining experience with chef Dhani catering to every need and culinary desire. Indoor and outdoor dining areas are available, each offering a unique ambience to every meal and a dedicated house team is onsite to provide our guests with round-the-clock guests’ service.
