Golden Rock Estate is a luxury vacation rental located on the south eastern side of Nevis Island in Gingerland. It includes eleven (11) one-bedroom cottages situated 1,000 feet up on Mount Nevis and part of a garden paradise with resort amenities. The historic charm centers on stone cottages, a converted 19th-century sugar mill, traditional patterns, and vibrant colors creating a balance between the cottages and the verdant garden setting. Take in sea views toward the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Montserrat from this tranquil garden, adventure up the slopes of Nevis Peak, hire a mountain bike, and explore the local beaches. Nevis has a pace of life that encourages you to stop and appreciate all the natural beauty around you.

The Cottages are available for groups as small as 2 and as an exclusive use option for groups as large as 23. Events welcomed. Cottages include à la carte breakfast, Wi-Fi, complimentary laundry, private bathrooms, ceiling fans, specialty toiletries, bottled water and welcome homemade baked sweets. Several restaurants serving international-style cuisine are within 2 miles. Discover lively Caribbean cuisine paired with global flair at our restaurant 'The Rocks' (American, Caribbean). Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served alfresco on our dining decks overlooking the sea, or within intimate garden settings. Under stone vaulted ceilings, our bar serves signature cocktails such as the Mount St. Helena and Golden Rock’s renowned Rum Punch. Mountain and beach activities abound.

The Hillside Cottages are 8 duplex cottages perched above and around the swimming pool amidst the gardens; Approximately 301 sq ft each.. Featuring a porch, veranda, or deck to take in the views from the mountainside to the Caribbean Sea below. The Hillside cottages each share a patio which is ideal for families or other groups who want to spend time together. Rooms have twin beds that can join into a king or regular king beds, with private bath. On the higher end, the DAR GARDEN COTTAGE offers its own private garden. A little West Indian cottage with Queen size bed, screened in back porch and full bath, and approximately 301 sq ft. The screened back porch opens to a private garden surrounded by stacked stone walls, offering privacy and a feeling of Caribbean life gone by.

Paradise Cottage is a remodeled stone cottage surrounded tucked in the glorious tropical setting with a large terrace with views towards Winward Beach through massive bamboo. With 301 sq ft. Paradise is perfect for two with a king size bed and private bath. Our cut-stone SUGAR MILL COTTAGE is the largest of the 11 cottages with 700 sq ft. The two-story cottage features an oversized king bed upstairs, with full bath, an outdoor patio, and views over Nevis Peak and Windward Beach beyond. Two twin beds and a second full bath are downstairs. The Sugar Mill is suitable for a couple with 2 children, or 3 adults.

There are 40 acres of stunning, cultivated gardens on the Golden Rock property to explore during your stay, all about 1000 ft. (approx. 305 meters) above sea level. The 96 acres owned by Golden Rock continue up the mountain along the road that leads from the lower parking lot up the hill. Outdoor activities are diverse on this small island. From windsurfing, canoeing, snorkeling, and sailing to mountain biking, hiking, and birding—there is something for everyone. Take guided hikes through the rainforest, go up the 3,232-foot Nevis Peak, or explore our gardens. Be as adventurous or as laid back as you wish. Wander through our gardens, plunge into our spring-fed fresh water pool, and enjoy alfresco dining. For adventures further afield, rent mountain bikes, explore the beaches of Nevis, or hike from our gate to the Source. Green vervet monkeys inhabit the property along with hummingbirds, finches, and the occasional local donkey.
