La Case Créole in St. Jean is a newly renovated vacation rental which is associated with coziness and typical Island’s style. It’s ideal place for a family vacation or a group of friends who are willing to experience St. Barts together. The vacation home is spread over two levels, and all the interior spaces beckon guests onto the large veranda and various terraces to enjoy the sun and the salt air. There is a strong sense of privacy, thanks to separation of spaces (in three buildings that flank a shared swimming pool) and generously sized pavilions with high, vaulted ceilings. And the location is ideal, just minutes from two of the island’s most beautiful and desirable beaches, St. Jean and Saline, but on a hillside that’s far enough off the beaten path to feel secluded. It has enticing views over the tropical gardens that surround it. There is also a partial sea view that can extend to St. Kitts on clear days.

The private terrace is one feature that makes Villa La Case Créole special. It is set up with sunbeds, a shaded dining table, and planted trees and plants and is ideal for poolside lounging, family dinners, or gatherings over evening cocktails. A lavish gourmet kitchen, complete with an induction stove, makes hosting a pleasure, whether you tend the burners or let a private chef—arranged by our concierge—work culinary magic. Inside, the kitchen has a large center island with barstools and top-of-the-line appliances. It shares a pavilion with a dining area whose table seats six and a living area with large wraparound couches, an entertainment system, and a wall of doors that slide open to connect this room with a second dining table outside, which is also near the barbecue grill.

A second pavilion houses the master bedroom, which has a beautiful view of the garden that you can enjoy while lounging in bed. Two more bedrooms are in a third pavilion, and have king beds and well-appointed bathrooms. Contemporary-Caribbean details still lend color and charm, but overall, the rooms feel fresh and modern. Two large new bedrooms have been made available, making the villa comfortably accessible for up to ten guests. These are similar to the others, but on a lower level, with subtle colorful Caribbean design and all the creature comforts. On that level there is also a sixth bedroom which can be suitable for children since it does not have its private bathroom. Altogether, they add up to a family house that feels like a home away from home.
