This island is full of history as it is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Paris. The 4th district of Paris is full of history with nice cafes, art galleries, and shops. Definitely one of the liveliest districts of the city, the fourth arrondissement is comprised of Notre Dame, Hôtel de Ville (Paris’ town hall), Ile de Saint Louis, the eastern tip of the Ile de la Cité and the southern part of Le Marais. The 4th district is surrounded by the Seine River in the south and by districts 1, 3, 11 and 12.
