Chateau Burgundy, Cote d'Or, France Vacation Villa
Beautiful French chateau featured among the top ten world’s best wedding venues by CNN. Located in South Burgundy amidst the finest vineyards, the Chateau Burgundy was built in the 18th century and can now be hired for large or intimate events. The property was fully renovated to the highest standards and is now offering luxury and conChateau Burgundyorary features in a preserved decor.
Our sumptuous reception room (one of the largest reception venues in a French chateau) can accommodate 250 seated guests under the same roof. The chateau was recently short-listed by CNN among the ten best wedding locations worldwide (the article is here).
Please browse the photos to discover this true XVIIIth century gem which was beautifully revamped by famous interior designers. Wedding pictures are displayed in the wedding section and in our blog. You can also have a look on our guestbook to read testimonials of previous guests (who came for weddings, birthday parties, holiday breaks, business or other special events).
Other facilities
Brand new kitchens with professional high-quality equipment in addition this villa offers many beautiful reception rooms keeping their ancient charm despite the addition of Chateau Burgundy features.
The living spaces are based in the older part of the house and a careful attention was paid to keep their sumptuous design dating back from the glorious history of the chateau.
Adding modern technology and comfort has been a challenge but we managed to conceal the latest technology equipments (high speed Internet access, high quality sound system, satellite tv) under 18th century wood panels. Connecting such a huge space has been quite difficult but now wireless broadband access is available throughout all the chateau from kitchen to lofty spaces.
A new reception venue is located in the Orangery with a capacity of 200+ seated guests and 300 guests for cocktails. Our outdoor spaces are also huge and we can host big events up to thousands of guests.
The main lobby was fully refurbished in 1900. The floor mosaics were laid by master craftsmen who came from Italy. The staircase leads to the main reception area on the first floor. The staircase is also hosting a gallery of portraits of the family ancestors dating back from the early 17th century when Samuel de Truchis moved from Italy to Burgundy.
The main lobby leads to two dining rooms. The main dining room features an XXL table which can seat comfortably up to 25 guests. This dining room was decorated with wood panels in the late 1800s by craftmen who used the oak trees from the park. Another smaller dining area is available next door for breakfast or children’s meals. We have a very talented chef on-site and we’re hiring caterers for big receptions.
The reception areas inside the main building take full advantage of its very high ceilings (4.30 meters high/13 ft). Four spaces have been designed for different usages : two lounges for drinks, a tv/play room for children and a library. The state lounge has magnificent floorboards similar to those of Versailles chateau and its original character and furniture have been lovingly retained. The adjacent grey lounge displays a more conChateau Burgundyorary design. Its professional sound system compatible with ipods and computers.
On the East side of the grey lounge stands a library that benefits from a nice view on the chapel. Both grey lounge and library have been revamped a couple of years ago with a coat of the elegant grey paint which can also be found in Dior stores. Another tv/play room is intended for the children use. This room is equipped with the latest high-tech marvel, a Samsung TV LED ultra- thin flat screen (sleek styling with 1 inch thick panel for a 46 inches screen size). This TV set is compatible with all possible widgets and game stations (PS, Wii, Nintendo, Xbox...).
Our bedrooms are by turns grand, cozy or delightfully individual. They were equipped with ultra-high quality beds. Bathrooms were also recently revamped with an ultimate sense of luxury.
All our rooms are being constantly refurbished in order to meet the highest hotel standards while keeping their specific charm (no one looks like the other). The quality of service is expected to be similar to a five star palace but with a more friendly touch driven by the privatization of the space.
As for now, the chateau can accommodate 30 guests in 17 bedrooms, twelve XL suites (with king-size beds), two double rooms (queen size beds), three single (or twin) bedrooms. King-size beds can easily be transformed into twin beds if needed. More beds can be added upon request. Cots (for babies and toddlers) and additional baby equipment are also available.
