La Bastide de Laurence is a stunning 8-bedroom gently remodeled vacation home in Provence within the iconic French Countryside. This 12,000 sq ft. bastide is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, a swimming pool, and an intimate courtyard. One fills with inspiration while driving down the pathway lined in Lavender as is the beauty that is this region. During the summer miles and miles of lavender fields line the hillsides making for incredibly beautiful driving or walking tours. All of the bedrooms are privately spaced with various lounges and salons located throughout allowing large group gatherings. There are four bedrooms on the East wing, two bedrooms in the central area, and two on the West wing. Full en-suite bathroom are in 7 of the 8 bedrooms and one bedroom has a half bathroom. This is a special luxury for you and your guests for a French countryside home. A neutral palette is met with pops of fresh color, inspired by the surrounding area. The home is shaped as a U, with a lovely center courtyard joining the two wings of the home. One of the most loved areas of the home is the expansive courtyard that offers spots for quiet relaxation and reflection, overlooking the fruit orchards and the majestic mountains that stretch in the horizon beyond. This harmonious setting creates an authentic and romantic setting to enjoy alfresco dining with friends and family.

Adjoining this living hall is the dining area that can sit a total of 16 guests on its long banquet table. Located on the other end across is the open-concept gourmet kitchen. Guests are welcome to prepare their own meals using the host of top-of-the-line tools. Guests may choose to hire a private chef to prepare meals or even conduct cooking classes for your group of guests. The stone staircase leads to a living room with a fireplace as well as a smaller dining table to enjoy afternoon tea. The west wing includes the professional chef's kitchen + prep kitchen, a 16-seat dining area, an upper and lower lounge, as well as a wine cellar The east wind includes our original farmhouse kitchen which serves as a breakfast kitchen, dining area, grand salon, and a cozy area for reading or watching television.

Another spot of enjoyment is the swimming pool where guests can enjoy a refreshing dip under the clear sunny skies that Provence of France is famous for. In fact, the pool dates back to 200 years of heritage and features its centerpiece fountain that adds a touch of grandeur. There are many activities that you can take advantage of in the area, some of the popular favorites include winery tours, hot air balloon experiences, kayaking. Bikes are available for use at the villa for guests who enjoy cycling which is a popular activity in France.

Meticulously designed landscapes featuring olive trees, cypress trees, lavender, and 200-year-old plain trees provide the perfect backdrop for your Provencal vacation. Designed by two of France’s top landscape designers, the grounds are dotted with idyllic gardens and secret hideaways. Cyprus trees and lavender line the driveway into La Bastide de Laurence with a view of Mont Ventoux on the horizon. The home is uniquely situated in and amongst apple orchards, and the landscaping strikes a tasteful balance of precision and relaxed simplicity.

The home is located just a few minutes (2 km) from the picturesque town of L'Isle Sur La Sorgue which is regarded as the ancient capital of France. Isle-Sur-La-Sorgue is famed for its markets featuring local vendors selling their produce and traditional souvenirs, as well as the Sorgue river that runs through here, flanked by the hive of restaurants, bakeries, independent shops and an old historic church. Guests can pack their picnic lunch and take a drive on winding roads to many nearby towns to enjoy hilltop scenery under lovely climate. Additionally, Provence is also home to some of the best French wines and there is no shortage of great local wineries that guests could tour for wine tasting sessions and discover new varieties of this region. Avignon is 21 km away, while Arles is 44 km away. The seaside town of Cote D’ Azur is meanwhile located just about an hour away. The nearest airport is Avignon-Provence Airport, 13 km and we can arrange your transfers and all of your itineraries from start to finish.
