This large Italian villa rental is a delightful farmhouse set in a lovely position in the hills just half a mile from a local village and 15 minutes north of historic Lucca. It is divided into two separate wings, each self-sufficient but interconnecting and is thus ideal for two families holidaying together.

This Italian villa rental has been carefully restored with full air conditioning, classic country style furniture and welcoming Tuscan colours and fabrics. A large gravelled terrace runs the length of the villa, which offers al fresco dining amongst traditional Tuscan lemon pots with lovely views all round. Part way between the pool and the villa is a covered area with a secluded, covered gym offering a small selection of exercise equipment; and after a thorough workout the garden offers plenty of shady spots in which to sit and relax.

In nearby Lucca you will find plenty of restaurants and shops. This lively town is such a pleasure to visit, with narrow cobbled streets, stunning medieval architecture and of particular note the old ramparts which are now crowned with over 2 miles of parkland ideal for walking, cycling or just enjoying a picnic. Other towns in the region are within easy reach including Pisa, Montecatini and Florence. For easy access to Florence and to avoid the difficulty of parking in the city itself, it is just a short drive to Lucca's train station and a train journey of about an hour will take you right into the heart of Florence.
