Villa Tasca stands in the middle of a historic garden surrounded by citrus groves and secular trees on the road that goes from Palermo to Monreale. The Villa was originally built in the 16th century but its surrounding oasis is one of Sicily’s most emblematic 19th century Romantic gardens.

The gracefully curved stone-bordered flowerbeds and the lush tropical vegetation plunge you into a world of silence and magic. Villa Tasca is located on the road from Palermo to Monreale, in a 20 acre park full of citrus orchards and majestic century-old trees. While the Villa was originally built in the 1500ds, the oasis which protects it is one of Sicily's most emblematic Victorian-era Romantic gardens. The curvilinear stone-bordered pathways and the lush tropical vegetation carry one away into a rich world of silence and suggestion. These more thickly planted areas are complemented by English lawns that allow the garden to be experienced with lightness and simplicity, even during every-day activities.

The large and well-lit interiors are characterized by pastoral frescoes and tile-work that transmit that same balance of liveliness and serenity found in the garden inside the Villa.

The same atmosphere that inspired Richard Wagner to write the third act of Parsifal when he stayed with the Tasca family.

Nestled in the romantic garden, the Villa spreads out over two floors, with cozy bedrooms and frescoed halls. Two terraces look over the park and botanic gardens. There is WIFI internet connection throughout the house.

A guided tour through the lush vegetation of the Villa Tasca gardens will take you back in time to the historical and cultural period when it was built and you will discover the many botanical species and their peculiarities.

It is entirely decorated with frescoes. The walls and vaults of the main hall depict pastoral landscapes by Cotardi. The Music Hall where Richard Wagner composed a part of the "Parsifal” is on the same floor.

THE BLUE SUITE

This suite is a large and comfortable room with a marble floor and private terrace. It is next to a reading room that has a small collection of antique books belonging to the family. It has a queen-size bed, AC, Wi-Fi, Sat TV, a minibar, a marble en suite bathroom with two sinks, bathtub and king-size shower..

THE PINK SUITE

This is the coziest room; a large bright room with antique majolica floors and a private terrace. It has a queen-size bed, AC, Sat TV and a minibar. It is adjoined with a private lounge and an extra single bed can be added. It has a marble en suite bathroom with a bathtub and standard shower.

THE CONTESSA SUITE

Entirely frescoed, there is a 'secret' door to the boudoir. This suite is large and bright and paved with antique Sicilian majolica. It has a queen-size bed (and a single bed can be added), Wi-Fi, AC, Sat TV, and a mini-bar. It is adjoined with the Music Hall and overlooks the gardens. The bathroom is en suite with a boudoir, bathtub/shower combo and separate toilet

THE MAJOLICA SUITE

Entirely paved with exquisite Attanasio 18th century majolica. This Suite is adjoined with a small frescoed private lounge and has Sat TV and a mini-bar. It is the largest and brightest room in the entire Villa and has two French-size beds, AC and Wi-Fi, a marble en suite bathroom with double sinks, a large bathtub/shower and separate toilet.
