It is really a safe place for Portugal kids holidays and guarantees you to relax and the kids to amuse themselves thanks to the many games, the crazy golf, the fenced and gated pool, the playground and the TV too, for those moments when they need to spend some time watching a movie or cartoon.

The villa itself is located in a really strategic position in Portugal: in the surroundings you have the famous Silver Coast beaches, castle-towns, the unique biotope of the Obidos Lagoon, a sailing school, water parks, the natural reserve of Berlengas Islands and you are close (50 minutes by car) to Lisbon Oceanarium and many other interesting spots for Portugal kids holidays.

When we consider safety, we have also to evaluate the unpredictable, so it is always good to know that you have a fully equipped regional hospital at about 5 miles from Lagoa de Óbidos, with pediatric emergency too, so that you are assured that a minor problem does not become a bigger one!

Obidos hosts some important events during the year, as the Medieval Market (July), the Chocolate Festival (March-April), the Villa Natal (Xmas town) in the castle and is an official "literary town" with a bookstore every 300 inhabitants (!) and many literary (and art) initiatives all over the year.

Lagoa de Óbidos is set at a privileged location on Portugal's Silver Coast, overlooking the natural asset of Lagoa de Óbidos and the sea. The whole property faces the Sun and there are many areas where you can sunbathe, but you can also go to the nearby beaches. While some beaches are excellent for surfing, others have calm waters and are suitable for children.

There are plenty of places to go, all of them just minutes away, like the amusing Praya D'El Rey golf course, the historical Óbidos village or the soothing Buddha Eden garden, just to mention a few.
