The grace and authenticity of historic eastside architecture is found in every detail of the 4750 square feet of this Spanish Pueblo styled, Mas Que Todo (Home of More than Enough). If you seek luxury, beauty and privacy, there is no better rental in Santa Fe.

Built in the 1930’s, reportedly for one of Santa Fe’s more internationally known artists, Andrew Dasburg, who was a recognized modernist painter originally from Germany/Paris/New York, our home is one of the remaining classics with exquisite quality details including a 200 year old hand-painted church ceiling, original woodwork on doors and windows. Yet, it has recently been carefully updated in all aspects including a cook's kitchen, two wet bars, lighting and sound system with five televisions, extensive internet connectivity in all areas, hand-tiled bathrooms and extensive gardens with gurgling water features and outdoor portals and patios. All of the windows and doors have been custom made or are antiques that have been retrofitted to the home. The floors are traditional dark brick or oak wood. Walls are plastered adobe.

Five adobe fireplaces make for a cozy settings. The entire property has central heat and air conditioning. Every detail for comfort and beauty has been provided.

Located on a quiet traditional dirt street in the iconic close in eastside residential neighborhood surrounded with beautiful private homes and estates, the fully walled and gated garden allows for ultimate privacy and security.

One of the wonderful attractions is that the home is walkable to many areas, three short blocks to Canyon Road or six blocks to Museum Hill, and a 20 minute walk to the main Santa Fe square. Close-by hiking trails are a five minute drive away. Offstreet courtyard parking for four cars, plus a one-car garage, allows for ample guests. An enclosed potager, or kitchen garden, offers fresh fruit and produce in the summer/fall.

For the discerning travelers who enjoy architecture and fine interior design and gardens, Mas Que Todo offers them all. The large kitchen and family room opens onto both an outdoor covered portal overlooking a large patio and extensive blooming gardens as well as adjoining to a beautiful large living room. The outdoor heated cantina with large patio centered on an enormous fireplace is perfect for entertaining in any season. Five beautifully appointed bedrooms with five and half baths with fine towels and bath products will sleep up to 12 people. There are two adjoining and attached casitas to the main house, but with separate entrances for privacy, each has two bedrooms (two kings, one queen, 4 bunk beds and one set of twins) and two full baths, plus a living area. The lower casita has a full cook’s kitchen, the upper has a coffee convenience kitchenette. The main house has a master suite consisting of king bed, bath complex, laundry and separate library/office. The main house and the cantina are wired for music with sonos speakers in every room.

The wooden hand carved ceiling in the living room of the main house comes from a church in Taos that dates back 200 years. The spacious and light filled master bedroom has a working fireplace, and a king bed. The bathroom suite has 2 private sinks, one toilet and a steam shower with pebble flooring making for a spa like experience. There's a library, or office where one can retreat with a laptop or borrow a book from the bookshelvs to enjoy.

The upper casita is a 2/2. It has a bunk bedroom (4 twin beds), with a full bath, and a lovely master bedroom with a king bed and an ensuite full bathroom. Perfect for a couple and their children. There is a space with a Nespresso machine and a mini subzero fridge and freezer for your convenience.

The lower casita is also a 2/2. It has two separate entrances one of which is ADA accessible. The full kitchen is adorned with beautiful tile work, a wolf range, and a subzero fridge and freezer. There are a set of twin beds in one room, including a sitting area with a TV and a queen size bed in a separate room which has its own private bath. All rooms have high end bedding and towels.

Another casita, called the Cantina, on the property hosts a built in floor to ceiling bar and buffet, including sub zero refrigerator drawers, a sink and an ice maker. During the warm, long days of spring, summer and fall, host a party in the backyard where there’s an outdoor fireplace to make for memorable gatherings.

A large stone patio with a beautiful, hand-crafted fireplace is surrounded with seating under a wisteria covered pergola. A gurgling pond in the private flower garden surrounds the patio.

Entertainment is readily at hand with a multi-room Sonos music system, 6 TVs, Apple TV, and reliably fast Wifi indoors and out.
