The Brando is an exquisite luxury resort on French Polynesia’s breathtakingly beautiful private atoll of Tetiaroa, just 30 miles north of Tahiti, comprised of a dozen idyllic islands surrounding a spectacular lagoon. The Brando was inspired by Marlon Brando’s original vision to create a venture of sustainable development that resonates with visitors and fosters opportunities to get to know both the place and people of French Polynesia. With access by Air Tetiaroa, the resort is a pioneering model of sustainable technology with sea water air-conditioning and renewable energies and offers carefree luxury in the midst of pristine nature.
Self-sufficient, far from the world, surrounded by a halo of white sand, the hotel’s 35 villas all have a private swimming pool opening onto a jade-colored lagoon. An elegance that seems right at home among the sea turtles, exotic birds and manta rays that populate the lagoon. Guests avid for new sensations will never forget the sumptuous pleasure of a spa session under the trees. Overlooking the Pacific through lush tropical foliage, 2,000 square meters of exotic plants harbor the hammam steam bath, waterfall, herbal tea bar and yoga pavilion. Fittingly, the treatments are inspired by age-old Polynesian traditions. The concierge desk takes care of absolutely everything, and the finely-calibrated service obeys a simple rule: whatever the guests want, whenever they want it.
The all-inclusive resort is a model of sustainable technology and is the first in French Polynesia to obtain LEED Platinum certification. The Brando features 35 deluxe villas each with its own private beach area and plunge pool, restaurants showcasing Polynesian, French and vegan cuisine, a luxurious Polynesian spa, a lagoon-view bar, beach bar, pool, organic garden, library, pearl shop, boutique, water sports, and an Ecostation with guest programs.
With their spare, serene décor, the interiors offer inviting comfort with a natural yet stylish feel. Each villa has a living room and a spacious bathroom supplemented by an outdoor bath. Built using traditional materials, these cozy hideaways reflect the culture and savoir-vivre of Polynesia. The hotel upholds the principle of responsible luxury, 100% green and 100% chic.
The exquisite Polynesian atoll of Tetiaroa, located 30 miles north of Tahiti, has always been a place of stunning beauty, tranquility and rejuvenation — first for Tahitian royalty, who chose this island above all others for their summer retreat, and later for Marlon Brando who chose it for his personal sanctuary.
On July 2014, the new luxury resort The Brando, opened on this breathtakingly beautiful private atoll. The Brando is unique in concept and scope, combining environmental purity, luxury and Polynesian charm into an exceptional experience.
