You have found one of New Zealand's most secretive and hidden gem hideaways! Completed in 2008, Dunalistair House immediately won a top architectural award as the Supreme Architectural Design in New Zealand.

The owners then decided to make this stunning property available for guests and travelers to enjoy. They had always wished for such homes to be available for them whilst travelling with their children, so they decided to build this masterpiece, so that families and friends can use Dunalistair to enjoy and relax in a family friendly environment. Since completion, many guests have now discovered this exclusive and luxurious home, and made it a part of their holiday to New Zealand, yet have often been sad and regretted having to leave!

The wide open living areas with stunning vistas encapsulate you to sit back and admire the ever changing light that is cast across the golf course and hills in the back ground. Also, all 4 bedrooms offer privacy and feature wallpapers and fittings which are stylish, yet understated. High grade Egyptian cotton linens are standard here. And the beds are some of the most comfortable you'll sleep in!

Dunalistair House is very much a home in which to relax and to enjoy the surroundings. Kinloch itself is a pleasant village with some stunning riverside and lakeside walks, as well as bike tracks and a stunning marina if boating is more your scene.

Taupo is only a 15 minute drive away (a car is highly recommended at Dunalistair as you are located a kilometer away from anyone else!) Rotorua is less than an hour away as well, so this is the perfect base to explore the central North Island, with all the top attractions within easy reach.

As an award winning piece of architecture, it is fair to say that no stone has been left un-turned. The kitchen offers all utilities required including a microwave, double fridge / freezer, wine cooler, coffee machine and also complimentary use of the house BBQ. A solid wood dining-table and feature fire-place surrounded by natural stone and timber, create a unique ambience that will relax even the most active of families!

There are two TV's in the house with separate Sky TV receivers. You also have complimentary use of a house iPad as well as Apple TV, plus an array of movies and music. There are also plenty of games for the kids too if need be.

The owners live nearby, so are happy to offer you ideas to explore Taupo's many adventures including the Huka Falls, Tongariro Crossing, Geothermal attractions, jet-boating, high-ropes course, rock-climbing, stunning walking and mountain biking tracks and of course golf. Dunalistair House sits proudly overlooking the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in New Zealand, The Kinloch Club.

Your experience at Dunalistair House begins with a personal meet and greet. You will be shown around the spacious living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms. You will also be introduced to the media room and home automation system, which creates unique scenes of lighting inside and out. The house is fully under floor heated in the winter, and is double glazed throughout.

Whether you are travelling from far, or nearby, the owners, Alistair and Kirsty are experience travelers and understand the requirements of traveling with families (they have three kids of their own!), so they are happy to share with you all the knowledge that they have on the surrounding area and beyond!
